How Lynvado Temporary Download Links Work
Lynvado is a processing utility, not a permanent media library. A prepared file exists privately for a limited retention window and is then deleted.
Analysis and preparation are separate
Analysis reads public metadata and returns safe format choices. The media worker downloads and prepares content only after you select one of those choices.
The file stays private
The worker uploads the result under a random object key in private storage. The browser receives a server redirect to a short-lived signed URL, never storage credentials or a public bucket path.
Two clocks protect the file
- The signed download URL usually lasts only several minutes.
- The ready file is normally retained for 60 minutes.
- A fresh signed redirect can be issued while the job is still ready and unexpired.
Cleanup uses overlapping controls
Application cleanup jobs, retries, periodic reconciliation, local temporary-directory removal, and storage lifecycle rules reduce the chance that a file remains after its retention window.
Why an expired link cannot be restored
Once deletion runs, Lynvado has no permanent copy to recover. Submit the original authorized public source URL again if it is still available.
